This week’s free Photoshop brush is Slight Yell, an ink brush with a very smooth controllable ramp up from eyelash fine line to fat round width and worn edges at the highest pressure. Useful for tasks from line drawings to lettering. This one is an atypically large file size (almost 3MB whereas most are a few kilobytes) so if you don’t use it you may want to delete it from your Tool Presets after you try it out.
This week’s free Photoshop brush is the Lonely Goal Photoshop ink brush. A Photoshop ink brush with a wavy stroke as if drawn with a substandard fountain pen or a clogging quill. You can download it on the Free Brush of the Week page until next Monday when there will be a new brush available.
This week’s free Photoshop brush is ‘Hatch Mesh‘ a Photoshop cross hatching brush with a light line weight and a generic evenly spaced four line hatch pattern
This week’s free Photoshop brush is “Chin Chatter” A very grainy natural media brush, with a messy medium spread in terms of grain size and breadth From gritty sand to small pebbles this brush sprays out particles like gravel from a wood chipper
It’s been a little while since I put out a watercolor brush so here’s a gritty one for you. ‘Sip Dream’ is a very grainy Photoshop watercolor brush with a tendency to pool paint in small sections. This brush has a Fairly wide range in tone with about a 70% opacity at the top range of pressure.

Multi talented Danica Jokic does wonderful work in traditional media but is just as adept in applying her talents to digital media. I’ve been a fan of her oil paintings for a while so I was beyond thrilled when she used my impasto brushes to paint this fantastic portrait in Photoshop! She really shows how well traditional oil painting techniques can be applied to digital painting. Her talent makes it look easy but seeing what can be done is an inspiration to me to work harder at improving my skills. This week’s free Photoshop brush is a sloppy ink brush with a broad erratic tip with generous flow but the edge contours of a dry brush This brush starts out as a scratchy intermittent texture and ends in a thick wet opaque line with a slight edge splatter at full pressure.
